Donate to Prosper California

We accept major credit cards or you may donate using your PayPal account.

Why Should I Donate?

Prosper California’s sole purpose is to advocate a system of public finance for California based upon the collection of economic rent rather than upon the collection of taxes which discourage and reduce productive activity and employment opportunities.   When this reform is enacted in California, the beneficial results will be very evident and the reform will soon spread not only within the US but to jurisdictions outside the US as well.

What Will My Donation be Spent On?

Donations to Prosper California will be spent to support voter initiatives in California which embody the reform described above.

Is Prosper California a Non-Profit?

Prosper California has applied to be recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt political organization — the application is currently pending.  However, since Prosper California engages in political activity, it does not qualify as a charitable non-profit organization.  Accordingly, contributions made to Prosper California are not tax deductible for contributors under the Internal Revenue Code.

The Ultimate Tax Reform: Public Revenue from Rent
by Fred E. Foldvary, Ph.D
Professor of Economics
Santa Clara University

The Land Value Taxation Campaign is a single-issue organisation based in the UK. It proposes that the rental value of land should be collected and used as the principal source of public revenue, as a replacement for present taxes on wages, profits, goods and services.

The Center for the Study of Economics studies the impact on communities of taxing land at a higher rate while simultaneously reducing, or even eliminating, taxes on improvements. Case studies of the benefits of this policy where it has been implemented are also provided.

Prosper Australia seeks to replace all existing taxes in Australia with a charge on the value of land and natural resources. Read its submission to Australia's Future Tax System Review.
